On Saturday, November 9th, Stewart Painting celebrated the conclusion of its 3rd Annual Paint It Forward event, a philanthropic initiative founded by Sheldon Stewart as a tribute to the sacrifices made by our military and veterans, whose bravery and service keep us safe. This year, in honor of Veterans Day, 40 dedicated Stewart Painting employees volunteered to transform the home of Marine Corps Veteran Joe Whelan and his wife Angela Whelan of Hyannis. The spirit of unity and joy this event fosters is truly inspiring and infectious.

Our team came together to power wash, carry out carpentry repairs, and paint the home of Joe and Angela. Their family—including children, grandchildren, and close friends—gathered to witness the beautiful transformation and to share in the warmth and pride of the day. As we completed the work, the appreciation and excitement from everyone involved reaffirmed our commitment to this cause.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our incredible volunteers and contributors—Sherwin Williams, Golden Jalapeno, Cape Cod Sportswear, Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center, Cindy Tooker Photography, and Sign It. Your dedication, support, and hard work have been essential in making this event a resounding success. Without your generous contributions, this achievement would not have been possible. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and for being a vital part of this journey!
Our passion for Paint It Forward grows stronger each year, and we’re already looking forward to our 4th event! The nomination period will open in September 2025, so sign up for our newsletter below to stay updated and be part of this rewarding experience.
