Our second annual Paint It Forward Campaign was a huge success! It took place on November 11th 2023, Veteran’s Day! We had the honor of painting the exterior of the home belonging to John Manning, a Marine Veteran. The home had extreme peeling and was overdue for a power wash, carpentry work and paint job. John recently lost is his wife so we were more than happy to bring some joy into his life.
Just about every single Stewart Painting employee donated their time on their day off to express their gratitude for John’s service to our country! One of the pillars of Stewart Painting culture is giving back to the community. Stay tuned for 2024 nominations coming this summer!
Testimony from Trish Barker, John Manning’s daughter:

“Today was a beautiful Veteran’s Day! Clearly my Mom was watching over the ‘magic’! Stewart Painting did such a wonderful job painting the house for Dad, as part of their ‘Paint It Forward’ campaign. Painters who volunteered for the day, worked so hard and were meticulous in their clean-up! In addition to the power wash, and the painting, they replaced rotting gutters, soffits, and even replaced the rotted window boxes. Sheldon Stewart is not one to sit back idly, he was taping, painting, climbing ladders-he even took the time to re-glaze the only, original window that is not protected by a storm window! And, you know what they say, “ Behind every great man is a great woman.” Well, Sally Stewart is that great woman! She kept the whole team rolling like awell-oiled machine, feeding them, cajoling them, encouraging them and still took the time to check on my dad several times during the day, and she made sure to replace the broken window boxes with exact replicas, filling them with Winter berry plants, to honor my Mom. I can’t tell you how many of the crew came in and chatted with my father, shaking his hand, and thanking him for his service. It was just so heartwarming. Thank you seems so inadequate to express gratitude, but I am forever grateful to you, for choosing to thank my dad for his service, in the most magnanimous way! Stewart Painting, thank you!”
